Long Pond Geotracking

A nice Father’s Day morning workout in the Nauticraft tracked with InstaMapper.   Just in case, here’s a screengrab of the live map below.

BlackBerry + PodTrapper. Zune-be-gone?

Happy to hear Zune (the far-superior podcast aggregator) is coming to XBox360.  If only it were also coming to BlackBerry’s. Or is it too late? Last night, I downloaded a trial for PodTrapper.  Very impressive. Suddenly my Zune (Zunes. I have two — so at least one will always be unlost) is feeling very superfluous. [...]

InstaMapper. LBS comes to my BB.

Got my bootable USB drive with Windows 7 all ready to go for my HP Mini 1000 upgrade and chickened out. Solid state drives don’t do well with NTFS and Win 7 requires NTFS. Waiting to hear how others fair but came across this note and this from last november. Tim Sneath’s new post “The bumper list [...]

HP Mini 1000: A Winner

Ever since HP’s first laptop (The HP 110–sure wish I had held on to mine!), I’ve been a huge fan of HP portable computing. Not since the Omnibook 300 (and it’s later and amazing color sibling, the Omnibook 800, pictured), though, has HP captured my passionate support in the way the new HP Mini 1000 does. I’m [...]
