Sunrise Stampede 10K & Denver Sketch Crawl
First, it occurs to me that I should apologize to those who happen across this blog only to discover relatively short, content-lean posts. As I describe in my About page, this is primarily just a journal for myself: an aid to offset my retrograde amnesia! These short posts serve as pushpins on my timeline of life. The details–of which there are of course many–I retain in memory. I just need this aid to keep them in proper order.
Tomorrow, I’m starting the day with the Sunrise Stampede 10K. Buoyed by my recent success barefooting the Bolder Boulder, I’ve decided to keep up with this distance-running thing and maybe reach half-marathon stage by summer’s end.
After the race, I’ll be heading down to Denver to meet-up with the Denver Sketch Crawl. I’ve been looking forward to this ever since Journey Juju author and creativity coach Cynthia Morris announced the event back in early May.
[update: Cynthia's review of the Crawl]

| Slight hip pain at the end. Both sides this time. An hour after the race this subsided. VFF’s seemed to work well again! Only annoyance it the attention factor. “Dude, your shoes are wild!” This breaks my personal racewalk record for 10K (set last week at the Bolder Boulder) by slightly over two minutes!
I have to say this year’s Sunrise Stamped was the most poorly managed race I have ever attended! They totally botched most of the times and even got place winners in the wrong order! |
