Summer’s End
Summer is officially over around here when we do the annual lake winterization: boats pulled up to the dry-dock. Floating dock pulled to shore. Boat boxes repacked and closed. It alway brings a meloncholoy mood.
Thus begins the annual pre-winter dead zone. There’s no use for the water other than the spectacular HD nature show that continues 24/7. Until the first 4-inch freeze. Of course, this weekend is slated to be boating-weather warm.
