Having long been a meebo fanboy, this is not without some twangs of guilt. I’ve found a better multiprotocol IM client.  Meebo was a huge improvement over the multiple-client alternative.

Now in private beta is my new fav, Digsby.  It’s much more powerful and configurable than meebo. One major annoyance with meebo: it did not have a mode for auto-switching to ‘away’ when inactive for a few minutes (a basic feature of every IM client!), making it appear as though I’m always at my keyboard when I am certainly not!
